Forest School -Outdoor Learning

Here at the Ridgeway we are fortunate to have wonderful school grounds.

We have a pond, wild area and vegetable garden – perfect for all types of Outdoor Learning!

We are fortunate to have an onsite Forest School programme delivered by our staff. 

Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. Through the Forest School programme children develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on experiences.

We know that research and evidence shows the positive impact of Forest Schools on children’s development and well-being, but much more than this we know our children and adults love it too!
